KERRY ETB and Tralee Chamber are calling on business owners and their staff in Kerry to take the opportunity to upskill in their downtime.

Kerry ETB are supporting Tralee Chamber business members and their staff with eCollege professional development courses at no cost.

They have worked with eCollege on a series of online courses which can be completed in approximately 10 hours per week, that includes online contact time and self-directed learning at home.

Sharon Browne of Kerry ETB adds “Obviously the number of weeks duration varies for each course. You might also be interested to note that if we are all back to work in a few weeks and you have staff who have commenced but not completed courses, they will be able to continue on, even if they don’t have 10 hours a week to commit – in other words they can continue at their own pace and eCollege will extend the weeks where necessary”

Ken Tobin of Tralee Chamber outlined that “With some businesses on-hold right now, some Employers and their key staff will be in a position to take on a short course, not only to help occupy their week in a meaningful way, but also to provide them with some additional new skills to support their business.”

The two bodies (Kerry ETB and Tralee Chamber) are asking any business owner in Kerry to browse https://www.ecollege.ie/course for the range of courses, and to make contact with sbrowne@kerryetb.ie to organise signing up themselves and key staff to the course of choice.

Tralee Chamber also is asking that business owners interested in upskilling or receiving support in any other areas, to make contact with them by emailing business@tralee.ie

Kerry ETB is offering this opportunity as part of the national Skills to Advance policy that offers training needs analysis and tailored training solutions to small and medium size businesses and employees across the workforce at no low cost or no cost depending on the eligibility of the company.
