‘Dress Haven’ is an an evening where you will be able to buy pre-owned, pre-loved fashion items.

Organisers are hoping that some of the clothes auctioned on the night will be donated by celebrities, both national and international.

The event is the brainchild of Mary Brick whose father passed away from cancer four years ago.

“If I have time, I like to give back. I think what they do in Recovery Haven is amazing, unfortunately we didn’t know about the respite house when my dad was ill,” said Mary Brick.

“It’s a huge regret of both mine and my family’s that we didn’t know about Recovery Haven while my dad had cancer. It’s a wonderful facility, not just for the cancer sufferer, but for their family as well,” said Mary.

“The emphasis is more on a girlie night out than a regular fashion show, there will be pop up shops, costume jewelry, shoes, coats and dresses, you name it,” said Mary.

“The people who come won’t be sitting down watching models, they will be browsing some very exciting pieces,” said Mary.

For details on how to donate items contact Mary on 087-4121013. Donations can also be dropped to Recovery Haven at Haig’s Terrace, Killerisk, between 11am-4pm on Saturday, January 17.
