Charlie Nelligan is to retire at the end of the year.

IT’LL be the a sad time for many Tralee people on Christmas Eve when Charlie Nelligan’s shop closes on the Mall.

The bakery/cafe has been in operation for 30 years, but Charlie and his wife Colette have decided to retire and have put the lease up for sale with North’s on Denny Street.

Seven jobs will be lost with the closure.

It’ll be another change on The Mall after Costa Coffee moved into the corner of The Mall/Denny Street two years ago while CEX Exchange now occupy the outlet vacated by A-Wear earlier this year.

Due to the location of the business, it’s expected the lease will sell quickly.
