Christmas Toy Appeal For Children In Need This Saturday

PEOPLE are asked to help make a child’s Christmas a little brighter by donating to a Christmas Toy Appeal this Saturday.

The ‘Mas On A Mission’ group, numbering almost 100,000 on Facebook are organising this huge nationwide appeal for children in need this Christmas.

They aim to help over 100 charities across the country, including Ronald McDonald house, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, Focus Ireland, Penneys Dinners, Focus Ireland and more.

There will be a drop-off point at the car park outside Smyths Toy Store in Manor West Retail Park on this Saturday from 10am to 1pm.

People are asked to buy a toy for children between the different age ranges of 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 and teens. They suggest a maximum spend of €20 and ask that presents remain unwrapped so they can allocate them appropriately.

They ask that those donating place their gifts in blue gift bags for boys and pink bags for girls with the age range appropriately marked on the tag. For more on the fundraiser, check out the Kerry facebook page here
