Annual Club Mass: The Churchill GAA Annual Club Mass will take place on Sunday 6th November at 11:30am in Churchill.

Juvenile Awards Ceremony: The juvenile club will have their award ceremony on Sunday 6th November in Ballyroe to celebrate the successes of our U16 team in the county and town league, U14 in the central league, U12 in the central league and our U10/U8/U6 in the Siobhan Cotter and Mitchels tournaments.

We would like to display a collation of pictures from throughout the year so would appreciate if parents could review photos they may have from matches or events and send all suitable pictures toinfo@churchillgaa.ie

U10 John Lynch Memorial Blitz: Well done to our Churchill U10’s who won the Division 3 Plate in the Austin Stacks John Lynch Memorial tournament in Connelly Park on Saturday last. We would like to extend our gratitude to Stacks for inviting us to such a fantastic and well organised event. Another victory to celebrate at our awards ceremony this weekend.

Minors: Our minor team were beaten in the Brendan’s championship final on Monday afternoon. This was always going to be a difficult assignment considering that we were only able to pick from one under 18 player with the other 14 taken from under 15, 16 and 17 age groups so the turn out from under 15 and 16 age groups was much appreciated.

The game was played in ideal weather conditions and was a very entertaining open game of football. Kevin O’Connor played his first game of the year for the minors at full back and his positional sense and composure on the ball must be complimented.

With the scores at 1-06 to 0-04 at half time, we were in with a good chance in the second half but two early goals after half time left us with an impossible task. To the teams credit, they battled to the end and despite our late consolation goal, Na Gaeil were deserving winners. Goals win matches and without Oisin, we had no answer to Stefan’s goal influence for Na Gaeil.

Well done boys for an otherwise very successful season. Team: Ciaran Murray, Ciaran Carmody, Kevin O’Connor, Harry Benner, Sean Hamilton, Mike Tobin, Paul Linehan, Sean Donnellan, Austin Clifford, Alan McElligott, Tom Lenihan, David Lenihan, Conor Corrigan, Ronan Fitzgerald, Jason Mortimer.
