Senior: Churchill Seniors have a break for another couple of weeks as the Senior County Championship continues. Next up will be a home league game against Ballylongford on the weekend of 4th June.

In the mean time, Churchill are well represented on the St Brendans team that has had wins against Shannon Rangers and Kilcummin in recent weeks.

Next up for St Brendans is a trip to the All Ireland Champions Dr. Crokes this Saturday. Throw in at Lewis Road, Killarney, is at 6:30.

Senior B: Churchill’s second team kick off the County League this Friday night when we travel to face Beale in Ballybunion. Throw in at 7:30pm.

U10s: We had great fun on Wednesday and Sunday at our training sessions with the sun shining and great enthusiasm shown by all players involved. All players are looking forward to Churchill hosting the St Brendan’s board on Tuesday 16th May.

Could all players be on the field at 6.15pm please. Trophy winners this week were Tadhg Murphy, Sean Hickey, Sean Michael Redican and Jayden Deady. Well done to all. No training on Wednesday due to blitz on Tuesday but training as normal next Sunday from 11 to 12.

U12 Ladies: Churchill ladies U12’s have qualified for the plate final of Division 3 of the North Kerry League where their opponents will be Duagh.

This is a great achievement considering that they have only been together as a team since March and is just reward for the hard effort they have put in with training & matches over the last few weeks. The date for this final is still to be confirmed.

U14: Our U14s welcomed Keel/Listry on Wednesday last to our pitch in the Spa for our final match with the unbeaten group leaders. It was a glorious evening for football and it was a shoot-out between two evenly matched teams.

After a slow start again where we conceded a goal to their midfielder we responded with 1-1 from Conor Brick and a Cian Kearney goal after a strong burst through the middle. Keel/Listry kept in touch as scoring was end to end.

There was great passing with full team involvement in our most complete performance to date. We had further goals from Eddie McCarthy, Ruairi Burns and Daragh O’Sullivan (1-3) complemented by points from David Feeley, Donncha O Sullivan and Paddy Walsh, to leave us 5-8 to 4-8 ahead at halftime in a breathless encounter.

Keel/Listry’s centre and full forwards gave a shooting display on the resumption to retake the lead and they maintained this lead until the finish.

We added scores from Niall Cassidy (1-1) Daragh (0-2), Eddie, David, Paddy as well as Dylan Walsh to finish behind on the huge scoreline of 5-16 to 5-23. Our team is developing nicely and are playing for each other and improving from match to match.

Notable performances all round from Mark in goals, Eoghan Walsh, Paddy O’Sullivan and Cian Kearney defence, our midfield and forwards as well as our interchange players who made a great contribution to our overall performance.

We have a semi-final away to Moyvane this week and hope to avenge our loss from our first game of the season.

U16: U-16 training continues on Wednesday 17th May, in the new pitch, 7.15-8.30pm.
