Seniors: Churchill got their season underway on Sunday afternoon when we defeated John Mitchels in Round 1 of the St. Brendan’s Championship in Tralee. Churchill started brightly and went in at half time with a 5 point lead 0-8 to 0-3.

Mitchels came into the game more in the second half but failed to break down a very disciplined Churchill defence. Churchill saw out the game 0-12 to 0-9 to complete an impressive first game in 2018 against Division 1 opposition. Our next match is at home to Ballymac this Sunday at 11:30am in Churchill.

Congratulations to Churchill goalkeeper Eoghan O’Brien, who was part of the University College Cork team that won the Higher Education Division 1 Final last week, beating University Limerick in the final.

There will be an opportunity for parents / guardians and players to meet club officers and mentors on the evening with every age group represented.
