The lotto of jackpot £1200 will be held in the Tankard on Friday night 23th @ 10p.m.

It was great to see Cillian Fitzgerald play so well with the Kerry u-21s over the last 2 weekend.

The club would like to send sympathy to the Fitzgerald families on the death of Ciaran and Brians mother Mary in Tralee.

The club are looking for old photos as we are celebrating our Centenary. These will be scan and giving back to you.
Juvenile AGM

The AGM of the Juvenile section of Churchill GAA was held in Spa National School on Sunday 18th January. The following officers were elected:

Chairman – Peter O’Brien
Secretary – Aidan Murphy
PRO – Derek Nolan

The outgoing Secretary, Regina Dolan, was thanked for her contribution and commitment to the club over the past 3 years. Mentors from each of the age groups gave a report on their respective teams – great progress was made during the year and the club looks forward to continuing the momentum in 2015. Particular mention was given to the U-14 and U-16 age groups who showed great commitment during the year which was demonstrated by their respective results.

Derek Nolan,Dermot Crowley and Mikey Moriarty were congratulated on getting the website up and running but it was emphasised that the website is only as good as the material in it. Each Juvenile age group needs to appoint a contact that can supply the PRO with material for publication (training reports, match reports etc) on the club website. After a good start in 2014, this didn’t happen for the remainder of the year.

Membership has not been finalised for 2015 but the objective will be to have all Juvenile members registered and membership paid by the end of February.
There will be a meeting of all those interested in helping out with the Juvenile teams from U-6 to U-16 in the Spa School on Friday night 23rd January at 8pm. The club is always looking for new people to become involved in some way – prior coaching experience not required! If you feel you could help out, please come along to the meeting on Friday.
