The club got a grant of £6986 from the Munster Council and the school got a grant of £ 5,000.Again a huge thanks goes to Dermot Crowley for preparing the submission for the club and to Tim Murphy of the County Board for all his help.

National Draw

Following the success of the first ever GAA National Club Draw last year the GAA has announced it will become an annual event. The Draw raised in excess of €2.4m for clubs throughout Ireland last year. All funds raised were retained solely by each club to assist in funding the development and the promotion of our games. This year there will be a larger number of prizes, all of which are provided by the GAA.

The purpose of running the GAA National Club Draw is to assist clubs in their drive to fundraise much needed funds. Each club retains all the proceeds from the tickets sold by their club. Churchill did not benefit last year, as no tickets were sold. This year, we are asking people to buy a €10 ticket to go towards the running of the club. Next year is our Centenary Year, so additional funds will be required to subsidise the events which the club will be running.

There is no outlay for the club – we retain 100% of the revenue raised through tickets sales. There are some excellent prizes – go to…

We would appreciate your support – tickets are available from any Committee Member. Closing date for purchase of tickets is January 23rd 2015.

GAA AGM

The AGM of the club will take place on Tues 9th December @ 8pm in Spa Community Centre.

As 2015 is an important year for the club, when we celebrate our Centenary and open our new field, we need people to help out with the various activities that will be happening.

While you may not be prepared to take on a position on the Club Executive, you may be willing to help out in other ways. Please come along to the AGM and lend your support to the club. We would be delighted if everyone who attended on the night the All Ireland tickets were distributed could attend on the 9th December.

If you are interested in filling any of the positions on the Executive, please contact Tracy O’Sullivan for a Nomination Paper.
