IN case any of you were wondering, the Denny site demolition and clearance work is coming to a close.
There are some final materials to be cleared and a small amount of work remains to be done on the chimney but it should all be wrapped up in the next few weeks.
However it remains to be seen what is going to happen to the site. There has been much speculation over the past number of weeks that it could be used as a site for a new courthouse, while the new Mayor of Tralee Graham Spring hoped part of the site could be used as a satellite of the Kerry Technology Park.
Having received hundreds of submissions from the public, consultants have prepared a masterplan which will be presented to Kerry County Council in the coming weeks so all will be revealed soon.
