A LOCAL councillor will be delivering a letter to Kerry County Council tomorrow calling on the county to show solidarity with Ukraine and its people.

Fianna Fáil Tralee MD Cllr Mikey Sheehy is hoping people will join him at county buildings in Rathass at 4.30pm on Monday.

In the letter he is calling for the condemnation of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and Vladimir Putin, to support the expulsion of the Russian Ambassador to Ireland and to raise the Ukrainian flag at all Kerry Council Buildings as a sign of our solidarity.

Napoleon Bonaparte Quotes: You must not fight too often with one enemy, or you will teach him all your art of war.

The Vladimir Putin invasion playbook has been used all too many times, Georgia, Crimea and now Ukraine!

Putin took the Ukraine bait, will Xi Jinping take the Taiwan bait as expected?

Ireland should keep its woke culture of virtue signalling out of the great game – our forefathers had this lost knowledge.

Solidarity should not only be shown to our European brothers and sisters, it should be given.

Ireland should give permanent residence to as many as possible.

But, I do not think the Ukrainian people will need as much help as the Russians 😉
