A LOCAL councillor has expressed her frustration as another burst water main in Ardfert affected the local water supply yesterday evening.

“Since water services have been outsourced to Irish Water there seems to be little or no accountability anymore. I am calling on the Council Executive to request an urgent meeting with Irish Water to address the issues in Ardfert and other affected areas of the county,” she said.

Kerry County Council said the pipe will be repaired on Friday morning and the supply should be fully restored by lunch time.
