IF you are interested in getting involved clubs from Lohercannon to Derrymore West, this could be the night for you.

Curraheen Community Council will host an information evening on Tuesday, April 19th in Fels Point Hotel, from 7.30pm to 9pm.

All local voluntary groups from Lohercannon to Derrymore West and surrounding areas will have an opportunity to showcase their group’s activities.

Curraheen Community Council realised that many people living in this area did not know about local clubs and groups and so decided it was time to raise awareness of such groups.

The council agreed that there are many people in the area who would like to get involved in a club but may not know how to go about it. There is a wide variety of groups in this area that cater for almost every age group, from young children to the most senior of our senior citizens.

Everyone is invited to this event, even if they have no notion of joining a club.

Just by calling in for a few minutes to see what is on offer in the area might help make the next long winter nights shorter, or give someone who wants to get out and about with others the ideal opportunity. Admission to the event is free.
