SHANAKILL Family Resource Centre is hosting a Cancer Awareness Coffee morning on Thursday, March 23.

The event is being held in conjunction with Kerry Travellers Health and Community Development Project, Rahoonane Community Centre and The Marie Keating Foundation

This coffee morning aims to raise awareness around a wide range of cancers affecting people in our communities.

On the day, they will have the Marie Keating Foundation bus, Men’s Shed exhibition, Recovery Haven, HSE Public Health Nurse, CH Chemist Demonstration on skin care and protection, and lots of fabulous spot prizes.

This day will highlight health promoting behaviours and is also an opportunity for the community to celebrate the people who are living with cancer.

Irish Cancer Society daffodils will be available on the day and donations will also be gratefully accepted and given to the Marie Keating Foundation and Recovery Haven.
