COLÁISTE Gleann Lí- Post Primary School in Clash has launched ‘The Next Instalment’, an anthology of poetry and prose, produced by students of the school.
The book, which has been published locally, is a sequel to their earlier anthology of poetry and prose, entitled ‘The Write Stuff’ which was published in 2012.
Both publications were crafted with assistance and guidance of Ms Joanne Roche of the English department.
Speaking at the official launch of ‘The Next Instalment’, Mr Richard Lawlor, Manager of Coláiste Gleann Lí, praised the excellent work of the students and teachers involved.
“This outstanding achievement is very much in keeping with the ethos at Coláiste Gleann Lí, where we strive to facilitate the holistic education and development of each of our students. This is a typical example of our teachers using real-life opportunities to put what is learned in the classroom into practice,” he said.
Copies of ‘The Last Instalment’ will be available at the Coláiste Gleann Lí Open Day, in Clash, on Saturday, October 18 from 10am to 1pm.
