A GROUP of family and friends have come together to organise a benefit dance in support of the husband and children of the late Patricia (Trish) Flavin nee Guerin.

Trish was aged just 38 when she passed away unexpectedly on January 7 in University Hospital, Tralee having been admitted to hospital earlier that day.

She is survived by her husband Ray and their five children ranging in age from four to sixteen.

The benefit dance will take place at the White Sands Hotel on Friday March 3 with doors opening at 8pm.

A local meeting was held last Wednesday night and there was an amazing turn out of volunteers, with just under a hundred people turning up offering to help.

Ticket sellers are out this week and will be calling door to door in the north Kerry area over the next few weeks. Tickets €10 each. All support is greatly appreciated.

Already huge support is being shown for the event. Nine bands have volunteered to play on the night. The bands are Flight of Earls, The ferrymen, Little Creatures, Ultan, Eddie Lee, Ann Dillane, Mona O’Riordan, Noreen Ashe and Mike Condon.

Tickets for the night have been kindly printed free of charge by John Dineen of Dineen print, Ballyheigue. Promotional posters have been printed free of charge by Eamonn Barry of Barry Print and Eamon Ferris of EF signs.

Jimmy Brown of White Sands Hotel has made the hotel available for the night. Already there has been a huge number of offers of spot prizes and raffle prizes.

The organisers are very greatful for the support they are getting. All proceeds from the night will go directly to support and benefit the family. All enquiries to Sandra: phone 086-360-2123 or Brendan: phone 087-922-9683
