Company’s Expansion To Create 15 New Jobs In Tralee

MetPro Ltd., has announced that it is to expand operations in its facility in Clash, Tralee. This announcement will lead to the creation of approximately 15 new jobs over the next three years.

Established in 1998, MetPro Ltd. specialises in the provision of sustainable solutions based on proprietaryBioCor VCI technology for incorporation into paper and plastic packaging materials in the automotive, engineering, electronics and packaging industries.

In 2014, MetPro was acquired by Transcendia, a US company engaged in the manufacture of specialty film and coating products.

“MetPro Ltd. is excited to expand operations at its Irish headquarters and consolidate the manufacturing of our market leading VCI product portfolio in Tralee,” said General Manager for UK & Ireland operations Niall O’Carroll.

“The Tralee facility has a proven track record in terms of R&D and manufacturing excellence, and we are looking forward to applying that experience to this new process. I would also like to thank the IDA for its facilitation and commitment to the company during the process and hope to continue to work closely with them on an ongoing basis.”

The new facility will close the loop from research & development through to VCI paper coating production and complements the existing plastic masterbatch facility, which has been successfully operated in Tralee for many years
