IT’S anticipated that construction work on the Tralee-Fenit Greenway will not start until early 2020.
Cllr Mikey Sheehy asked Council Management for a projected start/finish date for the long awaited greenway at the meeting of Tralee Municipal District councillors on Monday.
The Council said it is presently progressing the necessary health and safety documentation, securing agreements with landowners with respect to necessary accommodation works and completing detailed design elements.

It is anticipated that site clearance works will commence before the end of November and will continue in the month of January.
Construction work on the greenway is expected to start sometime in the first three months of 2020 with a scheduled programme of 18 months.
