IF you see a trail of 50 flashy sports cars making its way out towards the Dingle road next week, we can tell you that, no, the Skellig Hotel is not hosting an American rapper’s stag party.
No, these cars are from the people at Porsche Club Ireland who will be passing through Tralee next Thursday May 21 on their journey towards Dingle as part of a campaign to promote the Wild Atlantic Way.
Fáilte Ireland have teamed up with the club as they look to send more than 50 Porsche cars along the entire length of the Wild Atlantic Way, more than 2,000km from Malin Head to Mizen Head, this Sunday until the following Saturday.

It’s not yet known what exact time the cars will be passing Tralee, so be sure to keep an eye on their Twitter account @PC_Ireland for updates on when they’re in your area.
The drivers will also be tweeting and posting content online in real-time using the hashtag #wildatlanticway, generating conversation and engagement with the Wild Atlantic Way proposition.
On Thursday, they’ll leave Miltown-Malbay in Clare at 10am to make their way to Ballybunion via the Loop Head coastal road and – via Tralee – onto Castlegregory passing Dingle and traveling along the Blasket Island loop.
On Friday they’ll depart Dingle at 10.30am to Kenmare, Dursey Island and onto Castletownbere, Glengarriff before finishing in Bantry.
The cars will travel the 2,000km along the West coast, visiting all 15 Signature Discovery Points and will take in various beauty spots along the route such as: Sliabh Liag, Co. Sligo, Downpatrick Head, Co Mayo, Killary Harbour, Galway, The Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head, Co Clare, Dursey Island, Co. Kerry and Mizen Head, Co. Cork.
So car fans, get ready for your jaws to drop next week.
