The pedestrian crossing at the junction of the Mall and Denny Street will see work taking place there with the removal of the traffic island. They are hoping this will be completed by the start of December.

There will also be work starting on a pedestrian crossing at Denny Street near the Town Park public toilets and works at the junction of Ivy Terrace/Godfrey Place. These works are scheduled to be completed before Christmas.

If needs be, the work will continue at weekends and in the evenings after businesses close. They say the disruption to the town and businesses should be minimal.  Denny Street will become two-way in the new year and the main works on the shared space in  The Mall and Bridge Street will begin in early 2017.
