Council Proposes To Close Listowel To Finuge Road For Bypass Works

KERRY County Council has published proposals to close the R557 road for a period of three weeks to facilitate the construction of a new roundabout as part of the N69 Listowel Bypass Project.

It is intended that road from the Finuge village to the junction of the R557 and the N69 road will be closed to traffic.

Signposted diversions will be put in place for the duration of the works which are scheduled to be carried out between 29 August and 16 September.

The Council has published a notice today indicating its proposal to close the road and submissions or objections can be made on or before next Monday, 15 August.

The road closing times are from 8:00am on Monday 29th August to 5:00pm on Friday 16th September (three weeks).

An alternative route will be clearly signposted. Proposed diversion route can be viewed on www.kerrycoco.ie.

Any person having an objection to these proposals should lodge same, in writing, with the Administrative Officer, Kerry National Roads Office, Kerry County Council, The Island Centre, Castleisland, Co. Kerry or email to info@kerry.nrdo.ie not later than 5.00 pm on Monday 15th August 2022.
