KERRY County Council will host a free information webinar this Wednesday for the retail trade in Kerry.  The webinar will provide advice and updates on the impact of the phased easing of the COVID-19 restrictions on the retail sector in the county.

The webinar will be addressed by the Chief Executive Officer of Retail Excellence Ireland, David Fitzsimons, economist Jim Power, and the Head of the Kerry County Council Local Enterprise Office, Tomás Hayes.

The online webinar will commence at 2.00pm on Wednesday, 20 May. Registration in advance is essential and all participants will be issued with a link to the webinar as soon as they register. Questions from participants can be submitted in advance.

Among the topics to be addressed are macro trends in the retail sector, new ways of retailing, tips and advice for retailers reopening to customers in the coming weeks, how to anticipate demand, and what to expect when the COVID-19 restrictions are further eased. An update on the supports available from the Local Enterprise Office will also be discussed.

“This is one of a series of free webinars we are hosting for businesses in Kerry,” said Tomás Hayes. “I would encourage anyone in retail in Kerry to take part. There are many challenges facing businesses and we want to help businesses face those challenges equipped with the most up-to-date advice and information.”

“With the input of David Fitzsimons and Jim Power, it is a great opportunity for retailers in Kerry to learn from the experts and to get feedback from people with a comprehensive knowledge of the sector,” he said. Register now at: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_7uJAmSlOSxegQlHUERQJtQ
