Council To Unveil Details Of Denny Site Plans Next Week

KERRY County Council will launch the first phase of public consultation on the future use of the former Denny Bacon Factory site  next week.

EU funding of €1.5m has been sanctioned for the redevelopment of the 2.3 acre site which is now in the ownership of Kerry County Council after it was donated to the people of Tralee by Kerry Group in 2014,

On Thursday, July 28 at 10.30am, the Council will unveil details of this public consultation and launch a new website detailing the history of the site and explaining how the public can be involved in the regeneration of this iconic town centre location.

The Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council Michael O’Shea, the Mayor of Tralee Terry O’Brien, local councillors and representatives from Kerry Group and the Southern Regional Assembly, which helped to secure the EU funding, will be attendance at the entrance to site near Tralee Garda Station on the day.
