Council’s Civic Amenity Sites To Reopen On Tuesday

KERRY County Council’s five Civic Amenity Sites (Kenmare, Killarney, Milltown, Lios Póil and Cahersiveen) will re-open tomorrow, Tuesday, 31 March for the receipt of domestic waste from customers without an existing door-to-door, kerbside service and who need to dispose of household waste during the current period of COVID-19 restrictions.

Further to clarification issued nationally, the centres will re-open at 8.30am on Tuesday but will only receive household waste in standard black bags or material for recycling in EcoSense bags.

• Only one occupant per car will be admitted to the sites.
• Only cars will be admitted – no trailers or larger vehicles.
• No electrical waste, scrap metal, cardboard, bottles, cans etc

Customers are asked to use credit/debit cards payments as far as possible. Traffic control will be in place at sites to oversee physical distancing guidelines. Customers are asked to be patient and to comply with public health restrictions.
