Credit Union Bears Fruit For Recovery Haven

VISITORS to Recovery Haven can enjoy freshly made smoothies and filtered water, thanks to the sponsorship of Tralee Credit Union.

Tralee Credit Union are sponsoring for local producer, Manna Organic Store, to deliver a fresh selection of organic fruit every week to the cancer support centre.

They will also sponsor the purchase of a fruit juicer and installation of filtered water.

“We are delighted to be associated with the Recovery Haven,” said Jacintha Eustace, Director with Tralee Credit Union. “They provide such an invaluable support network and life line for those living with cancer, their families and carers. As a community not for profit organisation it’s great to see our money go to such a worthy cause.

A lot of our members visit the Recovery Haven so it’s good to know that they and their families will benefit firsthand from this gesture. Companies wishing to make a big difference with small gestures can look at the different strategies in the Recovery Haven annual plan and choose to support an individual strategy such as “Healthy Diet and Exercise”.

With support from the corporate sector big changes can be made possible for the visitors to Recovery Haven, where all services are provided for free and the charity are dependent on fundraising to keep the doors open,” concluded Jacintha.

Maeve Higgins from the Recovery Haven was delighted with the new arrangement.

“We are very grateful to Tralee Credit Union for their support as we know a lot of their members have received care and support at Recovery Haven. This initiative will benefit our visitors greatly being able to offer them healthy and fresh smoothies,” said Maeve.

“I know our walking group who walk every Tuesday are looking forward to these refreshing smoothies after their walk which will be healthier for them than their usual cups of tea. For further information on our services please call 066 7192122 or access our website or Facebook”.
