The crib was damaged in The Square last night.
FOR the second year in a row, the crib in The Square has been vandalised.
Around 11.30pm last night a group of three or four youths were seen next to the crib. Soon after the perspex was broken and the baby Jesus figure taken rom the crib.
Gardai are investigating and would appreciate if anyone saw the incident and has any information to report it at Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
Last year the crib was damaged and figures broken. A man later contacted the gardai to say he had caused the damage.
Shocking!!! Hope the culprit/culprits are caught.
Very Sad!!
It is so insulting to a our Christian community to desecrate Tralee towns crib and to target Joshua (Jesus Christ) our messiah a figure of Love, forgiveness and salvation.
The town authorities would want to wake up and show some respect too by adding some CCTV and/or to put the crib behind something stronger than cheap Perspex to protect it against the non-believers.
