KERINS O’RAHILLYS were dealt a big blow last night when David Moran was ruled out for their Round 2 County Championship game against Feale Rangers which takes place this Sunday.

The midfielder went down injured holding his knee in O’Rahilly’s championship defeat to South Kerry at last weekend.

The Kerry GAA website reports that “he had fluid drained from it [the knee] yesterday and will resume training in a week to ten days.”

Moran appeared to be struggling with the knee for periods of the game against South Kerry, but he remained on the pitch.

This is yet another set back for the Strand Road side who have lost so many big performers since last year.

He sprained the AC joint in his left shoulder during training last night and will be out of action for four weeks This him out of Kerry’s first game in the Munster Championship against either Clare or Waterford on June 22.

Also on the injury list are Crokes men Johnny Buckley – who sprained his ankle putting him out for four weeks – and Daithi Casey who received a dead leg and will be fit to resume training in ten days.
