IT will come as no surprise to many that Kerry’s David Moran has been named the football Opel GAA/GPA All Star player of the month for August.
The Kerins O’Rahilly’s man showed well in the All-Ireland quarter final match against Galway game earlier in the month, but it was his performances in the two semi-final games against Mayo that sealed the deal.
He gave the performance of his life in the match in Limerick which earned him plaudits from all corners of the country, including that of the President of the GAA, Liam O’Neill who congratulated him on his win.
“Kerry have grown into this year’s championship in fine style and few have epitomised this more than David Moran. He has been a rock at centre-field for Kerry and his performance in the replay win over Mayo in Limerick was one of the best of the season,” he said.
Well done David and well-deserved.
