THERE were 59 new car sales in Kerry in September, an decrease on the same month last year according to the latest official statistics released today by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI).
This was an decrease of 28, or around a third, on the figure of 87 from September 2017.
So far this year there were 2,628 new car sales in the first nine months compared to 2,776 by the end of September 2017, a decrease of -5.33%.
Nationally, total new car registrations for the month of September were down 17.9% (3,201) when compared to September 2017 (3,897). Registrations year to date are down 4.2% (123,099) on the same period last year (128,548).
