Deenihan Told Ballybunion Building ‘Not Planning Compliant’ For Specific Application In Relation To Asylum Seekers Housing

Jimmy Deenihan has been told that asylum seekers will not be coming to Ballybunion.

FINE Gael TD for Kerry, Minister Jimmy Deenihan, has been informed by the Department of Justice that they will not be going ahead with the proposal to house asylum seekers in Ballybunion because the proposed building in Ballybunion is not planning compliant for purpose of this specific application.

There had been rumours circulating that between 30 and 180 asylum seekers were to be housed in a building in the north Kerry town.

Locals had been expressing their concerns on social media regarding the numbers expected to the town.

Six  families of Syrian refugees arrived on Monday in Kerry from Lebanon. A further six families are on the way in the coming days.

Ten families will be housed in Tralee and two in Killarney.

    Minister that is the greatest load of bull I ever heard that the building is not compliant, if you were interested in taking them to Ballybunion that building or some other building would be found in double quick time .
