Delegation From Chinese City Visits Tralee With Prospect Of Twinning

The Chinese delegation with James Finnegan, Tralee Chamber Alliance, John Griffin, Tourism Officer Kerry County Council and Kieran Ruttledge, CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance at Tralee Bay Wetlands yesterday.

A DELEGATION from a Chinese city visited Tralee yesterday with tentative plans to twin with the town.

The delegation was hosted by Kieran Ruttledge, CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance and John Griffin of Kerry County Council and visited a number of the town’s attractions.

The delegation from the city of Taizhou were here to explore the tourism aspect of Tralee with the hopes of twinning with our town.

They took a guided tour of the Kerry County Museum, saw the beautiful Town Park and visited Tralee Bay Wetlands.

Taizhou has a population of over 5.5 million people. A twinning could have huge tourism and economic benefits for the town with exposure of Tralee’s attractions to a city with a bigger population than Ireland.
