NOW you see it, now you (sort of) don’t.
A demolition crew moved in to the old Bridge Inn site last night to take down the outer walls of the building, after the roof was taken away over the past week.
Work has started in earnest on the new development at the former Bridge Inn/Minstrels site where there are plans for a townhouse/B&B, bar and restaurant which will front onto Bridge Street, Bridge Place and New Road. Sol Travel will also move back in.

The streets surrounding the building were blocked off last night for safety reasons and many people gathered to capture the demolition work on their cameras and phones.
Last year, Roscar Properties Ltd. applied to the Council for permission to build a 26-bedroom guest house, a bar/restaurant, and a retail unit. It’ll be interesting to see how it all turns out.
