DUBLIN GAA supporters are calling on people attending the match in Tralee on Saturday to join with them in a tribute to the Irish Coastguard crew involved in the tragedy off the coast of Mayo on Monday night.
The ‘All Dublin GAA Fans’ Facebook page, which has over 20,000 followers, has asked people to give a minute’s applause in the 16th minute of the game, in tribute to the Rescue 116 crew.
The call was supported by the popular Dublin Supporters Facebook page. They are hoping that all present in Austin Stack Park on the night will join in the tribute.
Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, Mark Duffy, Ciarán Smith and Paul Ormsby were on board the Rescue 116 when it lost contact with the coastguard on Monday night.
The body of Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, was recovered on Tuesday and efforts are continuing to find the other three members of Rescue 116.
Great idea.
