Dublin V Kerry Game To Be Shown Live On Eir Sport, Not TG4

FIRST a 4pm throw-in, now it won’t be shown live on terrestrial TV.

Fans of Kerry football face a late journey home from Croke Park on Sunday evening, while many others who choose to stay at home won’t be able to see the game against Dublin live as Eir Sport will be showing it rather than TG4.

The GAA’s Central Competition Controls Committee fixed the game for 4pm yesterday and usually Sunday games are covered by TG4.

However, since Eir Sport were originally to show the game last Saturday night, they have retained the right to show the eagerly-anticipated clash.

Many Kerry fans who intended on travelling to the game are annoyed that the throw-in wasn’t fixed for 2pm or 2.30pm, given the amount of travelling they’ll have to do on Sunday. The GAA hasn’t exactly endeared themselves to the Kerry fans with the decision.
