End The Year With A Refreshing 5k/10k Run For Palliative Care Unit

IT was such a success last year that it’s back again this New Year’s Eve providing runners with a chance to end 2018 on a healthy note.

The Optimal Fitness Tralee 5k and 10k Road Race takes place on December 31 at 11am and proceeds raised will go to the Palliative Care Unit in Tralee.

Michelle Greaney of Optimal Fitness is promising another great event which starts and finishes at the Rose Hotel.

There will be specially designed medals for all participants,  a cash prize for overall win in both events, 5k Course record bonus cash prize of €100 (Cathal O Donnabhain, St Finbarrs AC, won it last year in 16.37.

There is also a trophy for the first 5 male and female home in both events, a trophy for 1st junior, (U16 and 16-19) male and female in 5k and a trophy for 1st wheelchair athlete and visually impaired athlete in 5k.

The entry fee is 5k €10 for the 5k and €20 for the 10k. Online registration closes on December 28th. Click here for the link for registration page.

Number pick up and registraion will take place at the Rose Hotel on December 30th between 6.30pm-7.30pm. Very limited registration for 5k only and number pick up between 09.30-10.30 on the morning of the race.
