Feckin’ rain.

AW crap!

Just as we were looking forward to the weekend, Met Eireann have delivered the news we were dreading.

It’s gonna be wet and it’s gonna be windy.

There’s a Status Yellow Rainfall Warning for Kerry, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare with rainfall accumulations of 25 – 50 mm  likely over the weekend.

Ah shure we can just use the brollies and watch the Santa parade and ‘Star’ turn on the lights in the Square…can’t we?

Well that mightn’t help matters much, because there’s also a Status Yellow Wind Warning as well for the entire country, with it being windy throughout the weekend. Westerly winds will reach mean speeds of 45 km to 55km/hr and gust 80 to 100km/hr during Saturday /Sunday.

The forecast does indicate there might be breaks in the rain down here on Saturday afternoon though, so fingers crossed.

Both weather warnings are for all day Saturday and until 6pm on Sunday.

Oh well, you’ll have to get the waterproofs on for the shopping trips.
