The Kerry Camino is a Tralee initiative to promote walking in the area, specifically the walk known also as The Dingle Way between Tralee and Dingle.

This is a combined walk plus bus trip from St. Johns Church in Tralee to St James Church, Dingle and back. The Heritage Tour group will meet on Saturday, August 26 at 9am at St. Johns Church Tralee.

Everyone will be given a Kerry Camino Pilgrim’s Passport and following a brief introduction, will walk to Blennerville via the Canal where they will visit the Model Railway at the Windmill Centre, and get second passport stamp.

A bus will bring group to Killelton Famine Village and Oratory, and then walk towards Camp village for a short refreshment break.

Board the bus again for Annascaul, stop at The South Pole Inn and hear all about Annascaul native and Antartic explorer Tom Crean and local history and heritage.

The bus will then go to Lispole, where the Viaduct can be seen, and visitors will learn more about the importance of the railway in Kerry history.

They will then travel to Dingle, and visit the Church of St. James, which is the finishing point of the Kerry Camino.  There will be an opportunity to spend some time in Dingle before returning to Tralee.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to enjoy some of what the Kerry Camino has to offer.

The walking distance is short (Tralee to Blennerville; Killelton to Camp,) explore some of the history and heritage of the Kerry Camino route and have your Pilgrim’s Passport stamped along the way.

The cost (adult €10; child €5; family €25) is to cover bus hire. Please register online to book seat on the bus.  For bookings please click here
