WHILE they might not be the biggest supporters club and they might not have much to shout about now, the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club Munster Branch can never be accused of lacking passion.
And of course through its history, Forest have had some great days including two European Cups wins and a League title win 40 years ago this year.
And it is that League win that is the back drop to the Night of Legends Charity Dinner Dance which will take place in The Manor Inn in Killorglin on June 9.

Proceeds will go to the Killorglin & District Mental Health Association and The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
At the launch in Ard Alainn Mental Health Centre one of the main organisers of the night Gearoid Lynch said that once again they were delighted with the number of Forest legends, club officials and friends that have committed to coming to Killorglin.
“Amongst those who will be attended are Colin Barrett who played over 160 times for the club from 1976 to 1980 and who is Honorary President of the branch, Scotsman John O’Hare who was part of the European Cup victory in 1980 and Limerick man Tommy Gaynor who was with Forest from 1988 to 1992 and who won a League Cup medal in 1989.
“Another ex-Red who will be present is Terry Curran who helped the club win promotion in 1976/1977 and who won a League medal with Everton in 1984/1985.
“From much closer to home Beaufort’s Brendan Moloney who enjoyed 7 years at the club will be there. Representing the charities will be Liam Hassett who will be joined by fellow Kerry player Mike Frank Russell.”

Gearoid also confirmed that their will a big showbiz presence on the night with club director Jonny Owen who is the man behind the ‘I Believe in Miracles’ film travelling over.
It is hoped he will be accompanied by his partner the BAFTA winning Vicky McClure but her attendance will depend on her busy work schedule.
Lifelong Forest fan radio and TV presenter Bernard O’Shea has also confirmed that he will be at the event.
Music on the night will be by Barry Lynch and Brendan O’Sullivan from the trad group The Liberties and Paddy Goodwin and the Holy Ghosts which include Horslips guitarists Johnny Fean.
There will be an auction for some unique Forest memorabilia on the night with tickets on sale for €55 from 087 2766089.
