HOW do you fancy doing something a little bit daring to help celebrate Recovery Haven Kerry’s 10th anniversary in 2020?

The cancer support charity is now recruiting for their exciting ‘Leap for Recovery’ parachute jump which takes place, aptly enough, on Leap Year day – Saturday, February 29th 2020.

The charity has chosen to mark both the leap year and its 10th anniversary next year in a dramatic way by organising a group parachute jump on February 29th.

A maximum of 30 people can take part in the jump, which will be overseen by the Irish Parachute Club and will take place in Co Offaly.

Those signing up will be asked to raise a minimum of €520 in advance – half of which will cover the cost of the jump, with the other half being donated to Recovery Haven Kerry.

“Naturally, participants are welcome to raise as much money as they possibly can through sponsorship, but the Irish Parachute Club insists that a condition of taking part is that a minimum of €520 be raised,” explained Recovery Haven PR & Marketing Manager, Marisa Reidy.

“There are some other conditions involved, regarding age, health and weight etc, but if anyone wants to take part then we can go through the details with them.”

The charity is hoping that the dare devils of Kerry will be keen to sign up for what promises to be one of several great fundraisers being organised during Recovery Haven Kerry’s 10th anniversary year.

“This is one of many exciting fundraising events we are planning for our 10th anniversary, but we would really love if those who may have a parachute jump on their bucket list for 2020 would consider doing so for us,” Marisa said.
