EXCITEMENT is building among the children in the Bryan Carr School of Performing Arts as they prepare to bring ‘Matilda The Musical Jr.’ to the Siamsa Tíre stage this week.

Based on the Roald Dahl novel, this Broadway Junior adaptation of the Olivier Award-winning hit will be performed from Wednesday to Friday with tickets still available for the nightly shows.

There are about 120 children in all involved over the course of the three nights with a core cast of 30 performers.

Bryan Carr said the dynamic has been really special for this production and he’s looking forward to bringing it to the stage.

The production is a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination. This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

The show is packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs and children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.

There are tickets available for the three performances on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night starting at 7:30pm. For enquiries call the box office on 066 7123055 or click here to go to the website for online bookings.
