Fantastic Five Medals Won By Tralee Rowing Club Members

Nicolas Larkin, Amy Darcy and Conall MacTheinthir, three of the five medal winners of Tralee Rowing Club at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships 2020, accompanied by their fellow rowers at the club gym in Tralee.

TRALEE Rowing Club won five medals at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships (IIRC) on Saturday at the Sports Arena in UL, Limerick.

The club had a great representation with almost 50 entries to the national championships, with four young athletes and one adult coming back to Tralee with medals.

The medal winners are:
Amy Darcy, 3rd place, WJ15
Conall MacTheinthir, 3rd place, MJ14 – 500m
Sarah Fitzgerald, 2nd place, WJ18 – 500m
Nicolas Larkin, 2nd place, MJ18 – 500m
Tara O’Halloran, 1st place, LWO – 500m

This is the most important indoor rowing competition of the year in the country. Rowing stars Sanita Puspure, Paul O’Donovan and Philip Doyle competed on Saturday at the same event and they all broke Irish records.
