TRALEE has retained its Gold Medal status again in the national Tidy Towns Competition making it five in a row.
Listowel won Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town for the second consecutive year. Killarney, Kenmare, Sneem, and Listowel also received gold medals. Knightstown and Portmagee secured bronze.
The Mayor of Tralee, Cllr Terry O’Brien, got word from Dublin – where the awards ceremony is taking place this afternoon – during the Tralee Municipal District meeting on Monday morning.
He congratulated all involved including Tidy Tralee, Council staff, residents associations and Team Brambles among others. Tralee increased its points from 305 last year to 312 this year. We’ll have the adjudicators report later today.
