A FASHION fundraiser will be held next month to help a family who lost their home in a fire near Ballyheigue in November.
The Duggans from Kerry Head were out when a fire engulfed their home on November 28 leaving them with nothing.
Now, a fundraising campaign is under way to get them back on their feet.

‘Fashion Fusion’ – A Night of Fashion, Music and Dance, will be held in Fels Point Hotel, on Saturday April 11 in aid of the Duggan Family House Fire Appeal.
The evening will feature a pre-drinks reception, fashion show produced by Upfront Model Management featuring the best of Kerry designers and boutiques and dancing late into the night with music by Midnight Cafe and DJ Ray Stack.
The evening will be mc’ed by Orlagh Winters and the best dressed lady on the night is sponsored by Carraig Donn, Tralee and the Best Dressed Man by Official Tralee.
Tickets are only €20 and are available now from the Post Office in Ballyheigue; Carraig Donn and Style Council in Tralee and on the door on the night.
There is also a Bar Only ticket for €10 for those wishing to come along later in the evening. Early purchase is strongly advised as demand for the tickets is already very high as the community comes together to support this most worthy cause.
The night is being organised by Eileen Whelan, who has extensive experience in co ordinating fundraising fashion events in Tralee and beyond over many years.
“We can promise everyone a wonderful evening of fashion and musical entertainment. One of the many fashion highlights will be the showing of some beautiful designer gowns created by the international designer, Don O’Neill, Creative Director at Theia. There will also be lots of spot prizes on the night. Hair for the fashion show models is sponsored by Style Council, Tralee and the Make up is sponsored by Doon Beauty Treatments, Ballyheigue,” she said.
There will also be some surprise celebrity guest stars on the night and male models will include Michael Healy Rae TD, John Brassil and Eamon O’Sullivan (the hair).
Doors open at 7pm and show commences at 8pm. Midnight Cafe will play from 10.30pm in the Fels Point Bar.
