CRUINNIÚ na nÓg is Ireland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people.

It is happening on Saturday June 12th and in advance of the day, Kerry County Council’s Arts Office is looking for feedback from children and young people themselves about what they would like see included in this year’s programme.

“We want to hear from children and young people themselves,” says Kate Kennelly, Arts Officer. “This is their day for creativity – it’s a chance for them to try out new things, or learn more about artforms they are already interested in.”

As with last year, Cruinniú will be an online event for 2021.

“Safety comes first,” says Kate Kennelly, “but there has been a lot of learning around online events in the last year and I am sure it will be a great day for children and young people. Online events allow for events to reach audiences and participants from every corner of the county.”

Email the Arts Office at arts@kerrycoco.ie for a short questionnaire on what activities and events you would like to see happen for Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday June 12th.
