A FINAL call has gone out for photos of the Boherbee/Mitchels area, for their 10th anniversary calendar.
The people from the Mitchels Regeneration Project are looking for old photographs of the area; its people, work places, buildings and landmarks.
They are asking people to root through their collection of photographs and make the 10th calendar the biggest and best.

You can bring your photos to St Brigids Family Resource Centre in Hawley Park, or e-mail pictures to infomitchelsboherbee@gmail.com.
All photographs will be scanned and handed straight back as they are very aware how precious original photographs are. If you wish to become involved you can ring Paula on 087 7697243 or e-mail infomitchelsboherbee@gmail.com.
My name is Maureen Moriarty(McDonagh) I was born in 1938 in 54 Mitchell’s Avenue and when I was seven moved to 52 Mitchell’s Road as lodgers and eventually as tenets.I have some photos of my Grandad,uncles parents and younger sister if you are interested. my Grandad Paddy Comerford was a printer for the Kerryman and I have fond memories to share.

My name is Patrick Moriarty and I lived at 76 Mitchel’s Avenue, where I was born in 1937.The rest of the family were born in Chutes Lane. My father Jack Moriarty, he worked on the railway between 1915 and 1965, he played with John Joe Sheehy in the 1920’s, there is a photo in Eugie Cray’s pub. I left Tralee in 1954 for England,.I have some photos .
My Grandmother lived at52 Mitchells Ave,her name was Catherine Lonergan,and for some reason the name Josie Commerford rings a bell with me
