Find The Right Career Path At Kerry ETB’s Open Week

KERRY ETB Training Centre at Monavalley is holding its first ever Open Week from Monday, January 21 to Saturday, January 26.

It is a chance for parents, school leavers, job seekers, career changers, those who wish to re-skill or up-skill and guidance professionals to visit the Monavalley campus and see the range of professional development courses, traineeships and apprenticeships on offer.

Instructors and Learners will be on hand to chat about give skills demonstrations and answer any career related queries visitors may have.

Second level school groups are invited to visit during the week. Guided tours of the campus will be held between the hours of 9am and 3pm daily with a number of specific events held across the week. Enquiries to: 066-7149600 or openweek@kerryetbtrainingcentre.ie

See what it’s like to work as a Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician or Overhead Lines Operative!

Get safely harnessed in and elevated up to 50 metres (160 ft) in the air on a state of the art MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) – courtesy of Height for Hire. Runs 10am until 3pm. Only on Tuesday.

BUILD YOUR OWN PC

A one-to-one workshop where trainee IT Support Technicians mentor attendees on how to Build Your Own PC. Only 12 places.

• Thursday 24 January | 4pm-8pm

APPRENTICESHIP INFORMATION EVENING

Meet a range of Kerry Apprentice Employers, explore Apprenticeship as a career option and chat with our Adult & Career Guidance Team. An event for parents, school leavers, jobseekers, guidance professionals or those thinking of a change from existing study or work.  Light refreshments served. All welcome.

MOMENTUM 2019 in partnership with Kerry SciTech

Kerry’s science, technology and engineering sector will create over 180 new jobs in 2019, and there are positive indications for similar jobs growth in 2020. This keynote and panel discussion event looks at the skill needs of the tech sector in Kerry and the wider region.
