The CEO of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Kieran Ruttledge, said: “It’s all about offering choice and entertainment to everyone. Families with young children will be enthralled by the third annual Fireworks Display which will light up the skies over Tralee before anywhere else in Ireland on New Year’s Eve. Revellers lucky enough to be venturing into Tralee Town Centre later on December 31st are being encouraged to step out onto Denny Street for a short New Year’s Eve Street Party commencing at 11.30pm. When the Countdown Clock rings in the New Year they can then head back into the comfort of their local pubs to continue planning their New Year’s Resolutions over a festive drink.”

The family-friendly Fireworks Display at Manor Park, beside Bowling Buddies and The Playdium, will get underway at 7pm with music and the fireworks will be launched at 7.20pm sharp.

Children (and their parents) are encouraged to dress up as their favourite Disney or Superhero characters while the fireworks will be launched to a Disney and Superhero soundtrack.

The Fireworks viewing site is accessible via foot or car with ample parking at The Playdium and in Manor West Retail Park. Some traffic restrictions will be in place, while pet owners are advised to keep their animals indoors for the duration of the Fireworks Display.

Seán Murphy, who’s Electrical Team erected the magnificent Christmas Lights over the streets of Tralee, along with Tralee Chamber Alliance and Kerry County Council, has sponsored a big screen to help count-in 2015 near the Pikeman Statue on Denny Street.

The screen will be in situ from early on Wednesday and it will show various promotional videos that showcase all that is positive about Tralee.

The Tralee Fireworks Display is sponsored by Tralee Chamber Alliance, Kerry County Council, Manor West Retail Park, BorgWarner, Manor Park Café and John Drummey Communications.

The full details of all remaining events during the Christmas Spraoi in Tralee, including the New Year’s Eve celebrations are available from www.Tralee.ie and the Christmas Spraoi in Tralee Facebook Page.
