The Sunday Game will feature live coverage of the Munster Final which is likely to see a Kerry v Cork match-up.
ARMCHAIR followers of Kerry football will have to wait until the Munster Final on July 5 to see the first championship live game on TV this year…once they win their semi-final of course!
For the second year running, Sky will not be showing any Munster football championship matches. In fact, the only football game that will be shown live from the province will be the final on RTE on July 5.
However if Kerry lose the semi-final or final, a playoff game could be shown exclusively by Sky. Which means people will have to settle for Weeshie and Gary on Radio Kerry or get out and travel to the games!
The last time a Munster championship match was shown live, other than a final, was back in 2013 when Kerry beat Tipperary in Killarney by 17 points.
Kerry’s first outing in the Munster Championship this year will come against the winners of either Waterford/Tipperary on June 13 or 14.
Kerry and Cork are once again separated in the draw.
Sky will be showing a total of 14 games exclusively over the course of the championship, the majority of these games will be set for Saturday evenings.
