Five Men Found Aboard Ship In Fenit Questioned By Gardaí

GARDAI are questioning five men at Tralee Garda Station after they were found on a ship at Fenit Harbour.

The men, aged in their 20s are believed to be stowaways and non-EU nationals. They were detained at Fenit at 12.15pm this afternoon after being found on the vessel which is docked at the harbour and are currently being detained in the Tralee station.

RTE reports that the men are Albanian and are believed to have boarded the ship at Bilbao in Spain last weekend, heading for Ireland.

They were found on board a ship which docked in Fenit to transport a Liebherr crane. Gardaí are believed to have been acting on information.
