Five More COVID-19 Cases For Kerry, 443 Reported Nationally

THERE were five new cases of COVID-19 reported for Kerry this afternoon.

There were nine additional deaths and 443 more cases reported nationally. Three of these deaths occurred in January, two in February, three in March and one in April.

The 14 day incidence of new cases for Kerry is 31.1 per 100,000 people. There have been 46 cases reported in the same period and the rolling five day average of cases is 5.

Kerry is the county with the second lowest incidence of cases in the past 14 days. The national incidence rate over the past 14 days is 157.1.

208 in Dublin, 32 in Cork, 24 in Kildare, 20 in Meath, 17 in Donegal and the remaining 142 spread across 19 other counties.

There have now been 238,907 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland and 4,727 people who died with the virus since the start of the pandemic.

As of 8am today, 261 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 60 are in ICU. There have been 12 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of last Saturday (3 April) 932,324 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:
• 660,800 people have received their first dose
• 271,524 people have received their second dose
